MINDS showcases AI that is already working in the real world. Phagos is one of 20 organizations in its second cohort, announced at the Forum’s Annual Meeting in Davos.

The World Economic Forum has selected Phagos for the second cohort of MINDS (Meaningful, Intelligent, Novel, Deployable Solutions), its programme for AI applications that already deliver results in the real world. An independent Impact Council of executives and experts chose the cases from hundreds of submissions across more than 30 countries.
Our case is phage discovery. Matching a phage to a bacterial strain used to mean testing candidates one by one in the lab. Our models read the genomes of both the phage and the bacterium to predict which phage will kill which strain, so the lab tests the most likely candidates first.
The cohort was announced in Davos alongside the Forum’s report Proof over Promise: Insights on Real-World AI Adoption from 2025 MINDS Organizations, produced with Accenture, which draws lessons from the first two cohorts.
